Meanwhile, Hannibal must survive the advances by a disfigured and vengeful victim. Lecter finds himself being tracked down by the authorities as well as vengeful relatives of his deceased victims.

In this humorous paean to the joys of food, the main story is about trucker Goro who rides into town like a modern Shane to help Tampopo set up the perfect fast-food noodle restaurant. Woven into this main story are a number of smaller stories about the importance of food, ranging from a gangster who mixes hot sex with food to an old lady terrorizing a shopkeeper by compulsive squeezing of his wares.

The wife of a barbaric crime boss engages in a secretive romance with a gentle bookseller between meals at her husband’s restaurant. Beautifully filmed (in the way only Greenaway can) with vibrant colors, intricate sets, and sumptuous plates of food. This is one of Greenaway’s best, and most disturbing.

The town’s intensely-Catholic mayor can’t accept her, or her chocolate, and does his best to shut her down. However, Vianne’s warm personality and incredible sweets manage to win over many townsfolk. Things get shaken up even more when a group of river drifters, led by Roux, stop into town.

These characters include the rich teen suburbanites who smoke heroin after school, the Mexican police fighting mobs and military corruption, undercover DEA agents, the wife of a major drug dealer who thought he was an importer of art, and the newly appointed Drug Czar. Traffic intelligently tackles the tough issues of drugs and their effect on our society and the money wasted on fighting this War. Del Toro deservedly won Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of an honest Mexican cop, struggling to survive.

It’s hard to search for your wife’s killer when you have a damaged memory and cannot remember something for more than 40 seconds. Leonard (Guy Pearce) was an insurance investigator and now he searches for his wife’s killer with clues he has written down on notes, Polaroids, and even his own body. Brilliantly edited, the movie is told in forward flashes of events that are to come that compensate for his unreliable memory, during which he has liaisons with various complex characters. As each scene unfolds we meet various people who Leonard encounters, but doesn’t know (or does he?). The beginning (ending) is just as shocking as the ending (beginning).

Shrek takes offense to this and pays a visit to Farquaad, accompanied by Donkey who will do anything but shut up. To gain back the privacy of his swamp, Shrek must free the beautiful, but tough Princess Fiona (Cameron Diaz) from the castle where she is imprisoned and take her to Lord Farquaad.

Murnau promises Schreck the neck of the drug addict star, Greta Schroeder (Catherine McCormack), after filming ends. Murnau says to his crew that the reason that Schreck looks so bizarre is because he is a method actor. But they all wonder why he really looks that way, why he only wants to shoot at night, and why people are dying?

At the same time he is trying to avenge his father’s death by the evil Jade Fox. He is joined in his quest by Shu Lien, the un-conceded love of his life. During all of this, they are introduced to Jiao Long Yu (Jen), the mysterious and beautiful daughter of a well known family. She is the mysterious link to all these tales.
